We offer multiple levels of service for importing your contacts.
Self-serve "Contact Data Only" Import - We offer a free function that will assist you with importing all your "core" contact data (name, address, phone number, etc)
1) From the main "Contact" tab, you will select the "Import Contacts" link in the upper left hand column. (If you do not see this link, click on the "show all" button under the "Add Contact" and "Edit Contact" buttons)
2) After this "Import Wizard" window opens, you will select from the program or file type that you currently have your contacts stored in. (For example, you may already have your contact list saved in an excel file format. You will click on this icon for further instruction to prepare for you import.)
3) From here we will give you step-by-step instructions for exporting your contacts from your current program and then importing into Big Contacts.

Special notes for your Import:
You can import data into the "Standard" data fields found in the contact record AND you can also import "Custom" data fields.
You will first need to determine the custom fields you need to import data to and then create them in the system.
CLICK HERE to learn more about the custom fields - field types that are available to you.
You can import "Tags" directly to BigContacts. To to do this you will create a header in your spreadsheet Labeled "Tags". After you do this you can enter tags for each contact. PLEASE NOTE: You must follow this formatting style to ensure that tags load properly into each contact record. (You can enter multiple tags for a contact by separating each of them with a single space.) Do NOT use carriage returns as the formatting will not work. For multi-word tags, do NOT use spaces. Instead you will enter a multi word tag in one of two formats. (TagOne or Tag_One are both acceptable)
In order to properly "Assign contacts" to a user on your team, you will need to create a column header "Assigned to". In this column the natural thing to do is to type in the name of the User that you wish to assign this contact record to, but the system actually requires a "User ID" number to properly assign/ link contacts to a user.
To get the User ID, you will click on the "Admin" tab, and then in here you will click on the "Users" link in the left hand column. This will open the users table and to the right of each user you will see the "User ID". Copy and paste this into the "Assigned to" column in your import spreadsheet.
Full-Service "Custom Data" Import - We offer a number of custom import services. This service can include anything from core contact data only (name, addres, phone, email, etc) to a full import of all notes and history that you have accumulated in another system.
Send your "Request for Import" to support@bigcontacts.com and one of our Client Support Representatives will contact you ASAP to answer any questions you may have and prepare for the import process.
